Raft-forming alginate
When alginic acid and potassium bicarbonate in Esophageal Guardian come into contact with gastric acids, alginic acid forms a gel, and potassium bicarbonate produces bubbles, which are then trapped in that gel. This protective, temporary foam barrier (or raft) between the stomach and the esophagus.4,5 This helps protect your esophageal tissue from harsh stomach acids: alginate-raft formulations have been shown to relieve gastric discomfort in clinical studies.6,7
Maximum support for delicate esophageal tissues
